Mold made from a print of the original work exhibited at the Louvre.
Discovered at the end of the 19th century on the island of Samothrace, this sculpture was created to commemorate a maritime victory. The extraordinary virtuosity of the drape creates the power of the work and the illusion of the movement that animates it; Victory seems to land on the bow.
3D technology has been used to accurately reproduce this reduction and has made it possible to integrate the latest restorations made on the original.
