Luke Edward Hall
Luke Edward Hall inspired by the Louvre
From the Tuileries with love - Season 2
Following the success of his first picnic collection inspired by the Tuileries, British artist and interior designer Luke Edward Hall continues his poetic exploration of the garden for the Louvre. In his sketchbook, he carries with him the iconic Tuileries chair, the painted wooden orange tree box, the statue of Hippomenes frozen mid-stride, and the first irises of spring. The watercolour flower flutters across the essentials for a successful picnic: charming napkins, a tote bag with large pockets to hold everything you need to cool down, cushion covers to dream of the skies of Cornwall or Paris whilst lying in the tall grass, a water bottle, and a small, sturdy set of enamelled metal cups and plates. With the elegant whimsy he's known for, he wanted to round out this collection with a few accessories for perfect pastoral afternoons: a boater hat, a fan, a sunglasses case, as well as a watercolour paint set, a Jokari, and a deck of playing cards.
