The Louvre, before being a museum, was an artists' studio. It remains their residence today.
For several months, Hans Ulrich Obrist, a major personality in the art world, walked through the collections with major figures of current creation. They evoke the works that left their mark on them, the spaces that still fill them with admiration. Each artist questions, according to their contemporary sensitivity, the challenges facing the museum in the 21st century.

The frequent separation between heritage and creation, between art of the present and art of the past, is now overcome: through the plurality of voices which are expressed each time in front of the works, the Louvre asserts itself as the place of dialogue between times of art - a place in which each and every person comes to reflect their own projects.
In the end, the eleven conversations arouse above all a powerful desire: that of going and seeing the works, mentioned here or elsewhere, in this magical bustle of a museum constantly reinvented by its visitors.
