Will you be patient enough to complete this 1000 piece cardboard puzzle of one of the most famous paintings? The Mona Lisa was painted by Leonardo da Vinci in the early 16th century. This oil painting painted on poplar wood uses the "sfumato" technique, a vaporous effect obtained by superimposing extremely delicate layers of paint that give the painting imprecise contours. Several factors have led to this painting becoming a cult object: the identity of the model with the enigmatic smile and look has been a subject of debate among scholars and Leonardo da Vinci breaks the codes of the models of the time. The date on which it was painted is also uncertain (between 1503 and 1519). It is known that Francis I acquired this painting and that it is one of the few works that can be attributed with certainty to Leonardo da Vinci. Stolen in 1911 and found in 1913, it was during this period that the painting gradually became a legend and the model for many modern artists, and then the icon that we know today.
