Despite numerous analyses and the meticulous restoration carried out in 2010, the questions posed by Salomon Reinach in the Gazette des Beaux-Arts in 1890 are still relevant today: when and by whom was the Venus sculpted? What attitude and attributes did the unknown sculptor give it?
