Exceptionally closed to the public that evening, the Louvre Museum hosted a social reception in honor of a politician who was leaving office.
Feeling as though he were at a funeral, he discreetly left the party and wandered off, a bottle in each hand, into the neighboring rooms. In the Sully wing, in the Salon Carré, he found a young woman sitting on a bench, facing Duccio's Madonna in Majesty, her hands covering her eyes... What was she doing there? Why was she hiding her face?
What follows is a whimsical night of seduction and erudition, humor and emotion, political reflections and poetry.
Charming as much as he is charmed, the old man attempts to seduce this lively, mischievous, soothing, and evanescent muse who accompanies him on his last evening.
