Thomas Lélu Inspired by the Louvre
Thomas Lélu loves the Louvre... and the Louvre returns the favor by inviting him and his famous blue ballpoint pen to take part in an inspired collaboration!
In his irreverent Instagram posts, through the images and books he shares, Thomas Lélu has managed to invent post after post, maxim after maxim a unique, radical, and irreverent language. A master of wordplay, an inventor of neo-proverbs and other often biting mottos, he loves to create contrast and surprise.
For the Louvre, he appropriates the most iconic references with wit and complete freedom, without taking himself too seriously. His handwritten aphorisms are thus inscribed on a series of objects-tote bags, stationery, Bic pens, T-shirts, pins, and caps-that are transformed into manifestos.
This collection of everyday objects revisits the museum's semantic universe with poetry and humor. Through this collaboration, the Louvre invites visitors to experience it in a new way.
Thomas Lélu is a French artist, photographer, and writer. A multi-talented creative who moves seamlessly between art, advertising, fashion, and publishing, he served as an art director for magazines, galleries, and luxury brands before developing his own distinctive style.
