This French-language book tells the story of Cornelia, who is hidden in the house. Where is she? Her cousins have gone to look for her; will they discover her secret?

By following the path of Beatrix and Johannes, you will enter a Dutch 17th-century house. The paintings from that time reflect people's daily lives: their clothes, occupations, furniture, jewellery and carpets.

Yet this intimate painting also reveals a universe full of mysteries, with secret doors leading to other rooms and windows open to an outside world which figures in the foreground seem not to notice, since they are daydreaming or reading, sometimes even turning their backs to us.
